Lolita Latte - Undercover(Chapter 3)

Fiena couldn’t believe what was happening the next day.

She was at school she went into that large building while holding books and chatting with Dorothy who was by her side when 8 familiar girls greeted her.

Alice, Syaira, Fazzy, Gwen, Enyz, Rita, Mia and Zalia were there, wearing casual attire and acting like normal kids.

Mia was wearing the night when Fiena first met her. Zalia wore a blue shirt with a green jacket and black pants and flats. Syaira was wearing a white knee-length dress with oranges as patterns, matched with cute orange ballet flats. Rita, she wore a white dress with a green jacket and brown boots. Gwen wore a blue shirt with a picture of a puppy and blue jeans matched with flower prints sandals which looked good on a summer evening.

Enyz somehow managed to look smart. She wore a white shirt, a black skirt and black shiny loafers. Fazzy, wore her casual outfit which consists of; yellow blouse, black jeans, and purple killer heels that can make her walk faster than any catwalk models. Alice, looked feisty and elegant; purple top, black denim jacket and jeans with combat boots.

“WHAT ARE YOU GUYS DOING HERE!!!???” Fiena shrieked.

“We are here to make sure you won’t break the secret of our world.”Mia said, hastily.

“I promise I wont” Fiena replied.

“Aah… Humans…. They lie to get my guard down. You human’s can’t be trusted just like that. I got fooled once, why should I bother to even trust a human!!” Mia shrieked angrily. The blue skies begin to darken and the lightning and thunder flashed.

“Mia!” Zalia screamed, hugging her.

Fiena shivered and ran away.

“Nice move, Apozitive.” Alice rolled her golden brown eyes.

“Ok. I’m at fault, Blame me.” Comes the reply.

“C’mon, let’s go look for her before you both start to bicker and everything will be bloody.” Enyz said, as the peace treaty.

Fiena couldn’t stand the sound of thunders and lightning. She hated them. Ever since she was young, she hated them.

(Flashback)

She was 5.

She was playing at the local playground park with her beloved white teddy bear, Kumajirou.

A gift from her late-grandmother.

She heard the thunders roaming, she saw the sky darken.

She ran to the nearest club-house as it started to rain.

She was safe, she thought.

But, she forgot Kuma-chan.

She wanted to get it back but the rain dropped heavily and she feared that if she got wet, her mother will make a big fuss about it.

“I’ll get it after the rain stops. Then I’ll dry it on the peg line and if mum asks I’ll tell her I gave Kumajirou a bath.” She thought.

But she was wrong.

A flash of lighting struck right at the bear and the white toy burned down to ashes.

“NOOO!!!” she screamed.

Fiena couldn’t help but cry.

The fire attracted the adults and they called the ambulance.

She was safe but her bear wasn’t.

“I hate them.”

“I hate them”

The group of girls listened to that chant about five times coming from the Janitor’s Utility Closet.

Alice opened the door only to find Fiena, curled up like a ball, crying and chanting “I hate them.”

“Fiena!” she said.

“You okay?” Syaira asked sincerely, lending a hand.

“I’m sorry, Fiena. I’m a bit sensitive about trusting humans. I’ll try to be patient and control my anger.”

“It’s ok.” Fiena said.

“It wasn’t your fault. It’s the thunder and lightning. I hate them.” Fiena said, wiping off her tears.

“No. The thunder and lightning’s were me, my anger. My main element power. See?”  Mia said, demonstrating a fizz of thunder on the tip of her finger.

It was only a small grunt of thunder but it was enough to scare Fiena and made her jump and hugged the nearest possible victim; Alice.

Alice let Fiena go but the poor human still shivered.

“Don’t do that!”Fiena said.

“Sorry, it was only a demo.”

“We’re late, lets go to class.” Rita said, glancing at the watch.

The arrival of the new extraordinary students cause the male population to leave the sight of their girlfriends and watch the new students instead.

However, the females weren’t s happy as they were.

They were jealous of they’re presence and their attention span no longer existed.

Funny.

Humans, losing their complexion and looks to Other Realm creatures.

The girls were at the Other Realm, training their powers at Alice’s house.

It was the best choice, seeing Alice was rich and she had a really huge private lawn at the back. (Her family is one of the vampire nobles.)

But, Fiena was to be made to drink a special potion which made her blood smelt invisible to the blood-sucking vampires.

“This potion somehow tastes like strawberry nesquik…” Fiena thought.

Alice made Fiena test her powers, to see if she even had one.

They were in a tight progress, Fiena hadn’t done anything yet.

She tried heading her palm at a small tree, it didn’t work.

“That’s pathetic. Try harder.” Alice said.

“I can’t!” fiena said.

“Nonsense! You had some Serafina’s blood in you! We must know what your element is!” Alice pursued.

“But, I truly cant’”

“TRY HARDER.” Alice said, as her voice and expression begin to sharpen and she happens to led out an intimidating aura that scared Fiena.

“Ok…”

She led out her palm, thinking very hard that it made her head hurt.

It so happens that she was surprise to see a gush of wind coming from her palm, that blew her clothes a bit and messed her hair.

The wind was so strong that it almost blew Syaira’s fluffy skirt open.

“KYAA!!!!!!” Syaira screamed.

Fiena was shocked and in an instant, the wind stopped and she apologized.

“Good progress, fiena.” Said Dr. Serafina who suddenly appeared out of no where.

“Your highness,” Syaira bowed.

“Try testing this wand.” Said the Doctor handing Fiena something that looked like a twig of some sort of old tree.

“But that’s a stick.” Fiena protested.

“It’s witches’ wand. Fairy wands are colourful and have shapes of stars and hearts on them.” Explained Fazzy.

“Ok. What do I do with it?” Fiena asked, puzzled.

“You eat it!” Syaira squealed and Fiena really believed it and started to chew the top part of the wand.

Alice, saw that and hit them both on the head, saying “Pabo…”

“Huh, Zalia, Mia, demonstrate!” Dr. Serafina said.

The two sisters started the demonstration.

Mia started to make a grunt of thunder on her left palm and she held the wand high, facing the sky and made flashes of lightning.

Zalia, made a little, but violent tornado on her right palm and zapped Rita’s grape juice into a purple whirlpool.

“Hey!” Rita said, as she wanted to take a sip and to that, Zalia apologized.

“It’s easy, Fiena.” Said Mia.

Zalia watched as Fiena turned pale and passed out.

“Oh my…” Dr. Serafina said.

After Fiena woke up, she tried testing her powers by the wand.

“Try that rock over there. Just think really hard, focus on your strength” Dr. Serafina advised her.

“I’ll try.”

She did so, and made good progress, leaves and vines started to grow, covering the rock as if it was left in a cave for mild centuries.

Fiena discovered her two elements; Wind and Nature.

Lolita Latte -Discovered(Chapter 2)

“Blood…..

Why was blood here?

Why would blood be in café like this?

Or, the café holds a murder….”  Fiena thought in her head.

She followed the traces and it lead to the staff restroom.

She opened the door gently only to find the room completely dark.

And there, the other café crew was standing by a source of violet light.

Mia, Zalia, Alice looked no different but the others were turning like they weren’t before.

Syaira and Gwen grow tails and furry animal-like ears

Enyz and Fazzy grew wings.

And Rita, her skin turned rotten and her clothes were replaced by white clean bandages.

So, she was an Egyptian bandaged zombie.

And to her biggest surprise was, Dr. Serafina was in the middle of them.

“GAH!!!” Fiena suddenly screamed.

They turned their heads and finding Fiena, stood there.

As she was about to run, and tell her parents and the police, she was attracted. Dr. Serafina was moving her fingers and Fiena felt like being pulled by invisible pair of arms.

And the next thing she knew it, she saw empty shrewd darkness.

(In a meeting room quite fancy and elegant but also, quite dark)

A very long table stood there and 1 long endless table which might grew longer if more guests were added. And 11 thrones were occupied.

“You brought a human girl, here? On heaven’s Earth, why my dear daughter, why?” shouted Edmund Murdoch, the Wizard Emperor who was be seated on a throne. His wife, fair in complexion sat on smaller throne, next to his.

“Because, my beloved father. She looks alike my dearest daughter, Daphina…” said the princess, quite sad.

“Oh, darling…” said Adriana, who stood up to hug her daughter.

“Are we done with the family reunion?” said another man, quite pale, he had red eyes and a deep scar which had a bad memory to his mind. And he was the Vampire Emperor, William Thorn

“I’m sorry, Master William…”

“Never mind that, child…” said his wife, Sarah Thorn, whom had also quite pale skin and red eyes much like her husband.

“What are we going to do with her? We can’t just leave her in the Other Realm, she might cause eternal havoc…” exclaimed a man, he was bandaged and underneath those bandages was rotten skin and he had no organs left but only the brain remained. It was also noted, he was wearing gold Egyptian accessories and it seemed like he was a pharaoh. He was the King of the Undead, Amenophis Anubis.

“He is right. If we just leave her here, some creatures might get hold of her and eat her up” said a quite young man, seating next to the bandaged pharaoh. He was big, tough and quite hairy. He also seemed wild and the type who can anger easily and crave more meat than any other humans would. And he was the leader of the were-animal pack, Phillip Black.

“She will not cause havoc!” screamed the princess, defending the human she brought.

The room started to sound noisy filled with arguments, statements, and opinions.

“Everyone, STOP!!!!!!!!!!!!” screamed the Vampire Empress, calming the situation down.

“We may have a solution to this.”

“And what is that solution, my dear Sarah?” snickered Ogrania , the King of Troll’s, goblins, succubus’s, ogres and all those creatures which look horrifying ugly to human eyes and live to scare the living daylights of humans.

“My daughter, Serafina, had inserted some of her witch blood and her left eye to that human child. So, she can see us and the Other Realm creatures who roam the Earth. She can also sense the portals hidden.” Said Adriana.

“But, what if she brought her other human companions? You all know how I very much hate those annoying beings being here, bringing those silly contraptions they call a ‘camro’ which flashes light and takes your reflection. It hurts my poor eyes.” Said William, quite irritated.

“It’s pronounced ‘camera’” said Serafina.

A grunt and a star by the vampire kept the princess shut her mouth.

“That is not a problem.” Said the princess.

“How so?” the others asked.

“I’ve got quite extraordinary young girls to help me prevent the human girl to break this secret.” She smirked.

“I hope you are right, my child….. I hope you are right” said her father.

The first thing Fiena saw after she woke up was a pair of red eyes.

A pair of red eyes belonged to Mia.

“GAAAH!!!!!!!!” she screamed, scared.

“Great that you’re awaked, but please, try not to make so much noise. Human screams attract the Other Realm creatures and they might come here and eat you up. I’m not kidding.” Alice snickered.

“W-where am I?” stuttered the human as she take a real look and she was in room and it was filled with the café crew.

“You, my friend, are in my room and on my bed.” said Mia.

“W-what?”

“Mia, you dolt. Sorry, Fiena, you are in, the OTHER REALM!!!!” said Alice, giving a knock on Mia’s head.

“Don’t hit me so hard, Alice.” Mia said, rubbing her head.

“O-Other R-realm?” she stuttered again.

“Yeah. Sorry if Zalia and my room’s too messy. We can’t place you at Alice’s house; they might suck your blood. We can’t place you at neither Syaira’s or Gwen’s house, were-animals have strong sense of smells and they might eat you up. Fazzy’s house is too bright, hurts Alice’s and my eyes. And Enyz’s house, you can’t even sit on the bed. No offence Enyz… And Rita’s house, lying on a casket is not comfortable.” Mia explained.

“What?”

“Yeah, bud…. You. Are. In. the. Other. Realm.” Alice sang.

“N- no freaking’ way! This must be one of those crazy ‘Gotcha!” shows! That’s a camera right there!!” Fiena laughed, pointing at a black cat.

“No, that’s not a camera, that’s just Zalia’s pet, Kuroneko. Boy, you really are on crack, huh?” shrugged Alice sarcastically.

“H-how can I be here?? Did you kidnap me here???” Fiena stuttered, still scared.

“No, Fiena.”

Just then, Dr. Serafina went inside the room.

“Fiena! How do you feel??”

“Scared…..”

“Ok, great to know that! Can I have a moment with these girls? You just lay here and rest for a while….” Said the doctor.

Fiena nodded.

While the others went outside for a while, Fiena took time to examine the room.

It was huge and larger than hers, and her parents’ room. It was a big as the school’s cafeteria. The floor was wood oak and some red carpet covered most of the floors. The room was painted red on one side, white on two sides and green on sides.

On the other part of the room, the red part, It was Mia’s side, a black bookcase, a black closet door, and a canvas with a white table standing next to it where Mia kept her  laptop, her phone, and her art supplies, must be her study table. The bed she was laying on was large white four-poster bed for two. It seems that Mia and Zalia shared a bed. On Zalia’s side, it was brighter and had a large window with white curtains and sofa so people can sit down and watch through out the window. It also had a lime green table where Zalia’s laptop, phone and books were placed and arranged neatly. Beside the table was a little basket where her pet, Kuroneko slept.

“Hey, Fiena! We are backkk!!!” Syaira sang.

“And we’ve brought you candy! And don’t worry…. It’s human candy.” Said Alice, handing a blue colored sweet.

“Ok…”Fiena took the sweet and popped it in her mouth.

And the next thing she knew it, she was fast asleep.

Fiena slowly opened her eyes.

“Huh? Where am I?” she said.

She was in the café, lying on the bed in the staff’s restroom.

“Finally, your awake.” Said Syaira who sat next to the bed.

“Huh? What? Aren’t I was on the Other Realm? In Mia’s room?”

“Other Realm? What are you talking about?” Syaira said, confused.

“What?”

“Ok, you got me. You were on the Other Realm. But you can’t! I really mean CANT! Tell anybody about us. The Other Realm, the creatures and not even the café.” Syaira warned her.

“What?”

“Yeah, you CANT tell anybody about us. Not even your parents, not even your best friends, Dorothy and Jovianna, not even the teachers you admire so much, not the police, government, navy and army, to add it all up, not the whole Earth.” Alice also warned her.

“But, what if I d”

“Then you’re in serious trouble. Not only we will kill you, but also the Other Realm creatures as well for you petty stuck-up humans will come and ruin our beautiful homeland.” Mia said.

“What do you mean?”

“The Other Realm creatures keep hidden because of you humans. You humans believed that something different and inhuman were monsters. You mortals believed that just because we’re different, we’d ought to be killed. Just look at what you humans have done to beautiful Earth. You destroyed it by polluting the great rivers, and the majestic sea. You also polluted the air, and the cut off all the trees in the woods. And that is why you sometimes hear stories of trolls and ogres coming up to villages, scaring the villagers, burning it down to ashes. It’s because you humans aren’t fair. You humans destroy the woods, our home. So, wouldn’t it be fair if we destroyed yours?” Mia said, quite serious and angry and Fiena also realized that her red eyes that were always rosy turned Bloody Red and a flash of lightning was enough to scare her.

“Mia, enough… You’re scaring the poor girl” Zalia said, tugging her arm.

“Oh, sorry Fiena. I was being too over dramatic.”

“But, if you really, did tell the other selfish humans, Mia and I will cast a spell that might harm you, Alice will suck your blood, and Gwen, I mean ‘Blood pup’ will tear you down to shreds.” Said Zalia, now she was quite serious.

“Ok, I’ll promise to not tell anybody about it. Not even a soul” said Fiena.

Lolita Latte -Still, Strange (Chapter 1)

The next day, Fiena was anxious to get out of school early.

Her last class was English and seeing she was Mr. Arthur’s favourite, she can be excused.

Her running makes her more anxious than ever to come to her workplace.

She glanced over at her watch her sister bought for her from Japan.

12.24 p.m.

“6 more minutes….” She thought.

And there it was the big, tall red building.

Fiena took time to take her breath, while that; she examined the café from outside.

It was painted red, bloody red, four windows, two on the down floor, another two on the upper floor. Each window frame was painted black, and had white lace on it. It looked ok for a café. The door, painted black, had a small window on it, and on the window written in cursive was the café’s name, Lolita Latte. Also, outside of the café, flower pots were decorating the shop and a little sign by the door saying the café’s name and the specials of the day.

It was pretty café. And Fiena also took time to watch the upper part. It had a balcony, the architecture being so beautiful, the balcony was also decorated with strings and pots of flowers. There were also chairs and tables up there if any customer would choose to dine upstairs and enjoy the scenery of the town.

“Alright, enough sightseeing, I need to get to work.” Fiena thought.

She opened the door and heard the little golden bells jingle.

The bells, gold and decorated with ribbons were placed up the door was a sign somebody came in.

“Hey Fiena, your outfits in the back, in the turquoise coloured locker” said Alice, who was seating on a table, eating a chocolate cake and Syaira was beside Alice, playing with some marshmallows placed in a bowl.

“Fiena-Chan!!!” Syaira giggled.

“Ah, thank you” Fiena said.

She went to back part of the shop, where the locker rooms, the kitchen and the back door was located. She immediately saw the turquoise painted locker. Each locker had its own colour and name. The red locker was Mia’s. The electric blue one was Zalia’s and the ocean blue one was Gwen’s. The white one belonged to Enyz and the yellow one belonged to Fazzy. Hers was located between a green locker belonged to Rita and Syaira’s orange locker. She tried to open it but the others hadn’t given her the number of the combination.

“Its 18-11-98” said Enyz who suddenly appeared.

“Oh, thanks.”

“Don’t mention it.”

“You’re Enyz, right?”

The brunette nodded.

“”Can I ask you something? But, if it’s very personal to you, if you don’t want to answer than that’s alright.” Said Enyz.

“What is it?”

“Why are you wearing an eye patch?”

“It’s because, I had an accident, then this doctor donated her eye to me”

“Oh, ok. So, when will you open it?”

“Next month.”

“I see.”

“Hello, guys!” Mia greeted them, who just came from the back door, wearing a black beanie and a jacket, she looked a bit wet.

“Why are you wet?” Enyz asked.

“Cus it was pouring just now.”

“But it’s not raining” Fiena exclaimed, seeing the outside world still sunny.

“Oh, did I mention raining? It’s just that this old lady who watered her plant’s next building accidentally sprayed me over with her hose. Eh- he he…” Mia said nervously.

“Oh, ok.”

Fiena was smart. She hinted a bit of something in Mia’s nervousness.

After wearing her uniform, Mia questioned her “So, does it fit well?”

“It does and apparently, there other uniforms in here. There are also bunny ears and cat’s ears here.”

“Well, I forgot to tell you that our uniform uses a schedule. Like for today, it’s Angel Day Tuesday. So, you have to wear the angel uniform. On Mondays, we wear the official uniforms. On Wednesdays, the kimono, on Thursdays, the flower uniform and Fridays, we dress as butlers. On Friday, only female customers are allowed to come in. And Saturdays, we open early like 9.00 a.m. and we wear the cat and bunny uniforms. And finally, on Sunday we wear the cute sailor uniform.” Mia briefly explained.

“Oh. Understand.”

“Good. Seeing it’s 12. 40, you can either have tea break or vacuum the floors.”

“I think I’ll be vacuuming the floors.” Fiena thought.

“Oh, the vacuum is in the store room.”

Fiena went to the little store room, next to the kitchen.

She opened the room, quite dusty.

There, she saw a golden casket.

Strange, indeed.

She slowly opened it.

In there, lay a bandaged body.

“What the….” She thought.

She ruffled the bandages to get a better look. The bandage on the body’s face shook a little bit.

The figure opened its violet eyes.

“Oh my god…  Rita’s a mummy!!!!!!!” Fiena screamed, getting up and ran from the room and bumping into Alice.

“Fiena, you crack or something?” Alice asked who heard her screams.

“I- it was Rita. S- She’s a m-mummy.”

“You know Rita is only 17 and she’s too young to have kids?” Alice asked sarcastically.

“N- No! S- She’s a bandaged E- Egyptian z- zombie.” Fiena Stuttered.

“No way.”

They both went to the store room. Alice flickered the lights on, only to find Rita resting on a bed.

“I didn’t know there was a bed here.” Fiena exclaimed, quite puzzled.

“Well, this is the staff’s restroom. The store room’s upstairs.” Rita explained.

Fiena looked at the room. It was painted cream white, had two single beds, a big HD television, a sofa, a dining table with 9 chairs. And the floors were oak.

“Oh. Ok”

“You don’t need to vacuum the floor. The café’s already clean.” Said Syaira.

“Oh. I understand. Now what do I do??” Fiena questioned them.

“You….. go have tea-break!”

“But, I’m not hun-”

“Oh, yes you are. Just ask me what you want to eat, I’ll cook it. No charges” Rita said, cutting her off.

“Well, can you just make a simple sundae, instead?”

“Sure.”

While Fiena was having her sundae, the other girls we’re having a meeting.

“We need to be very careful not to spill our secret”

“Yeah, Rita… hides your casket next time…” said Alice.

“I will”

As they were to continue, the doorbell rang as a sign of a customer.

Standing by the door was none other than Dr. Serafina in casual wear.

“Serafina!” Mia exclaimed.

“Dr. Serafina, what are you doing here?” Fiena asked, wiping her mouth with a napkin, finished her sundae.

“Oh, Fiena, you work here, already? I eat here regularly.”

“Ok, then. I want to thank doctor for helping me in the hospital. So, I’ll be your waitress for today.” Fiena smiled.

“Oh, Fiena… it’s ok.”

“No, I insist!”

“Well…”

“Well doctor, take a seat.”

The young woman took a seat by the window.

“So, what is your order for today, young miss?” Fiena asked, handing a menu.

“Well, give me blood. I’m thirsty.”

“I beg your pardon?” Fiena asked, quite shock.

“What she meant was our new ‘Bloody- Sundae Float!’ It’s a new recipe. It’s actually thick berry juice with a scoop of vanilla ice cream on top” Mia blurted out.

‘Uh... Right! Make it strawberry instead!” said the doctor.

“Ye-yes, madam!” Rita said, and then rushed to the kitchen.

“This seems so odd. They act as if they met a long time ago.”  Fiena thought.

“Fiena, here’s the order” Rita said.

“Funny. This berry juice looks a lot like blood.”  She thought, examining it.

“H-here you go” Fiena said, giving the dish to the doctor.

“Fiena, come here for a moment.” Said Mia.

“What is it? Am I in trouble??”

“You’re not. It’s just that, please open that eye patch.  Wear this instead.” Said Mia, handing a black eye patch, the strings were black lace instead and there some ruffles on the eye patch. What caught Fiena’s attention was in the middle of the patch were sewn cross-stitches in the shape of a heart. And the thread was turquoise.

 “Thank you. Doctor, is it ok if I wear this??”

“It’s ok, Fiena”

She opened her old plain eye patch and wore the Lolita one.

Much to her surprise, it was comfortable.

“So, was the job awesome?” Dorothy asked.

“I don’t know, Dor…” Fiena answered back.

It was 8.00 p.m., Fiena and Dorothy were having a sleep over and both of them were doing their literature assignments.

“Urn….. Hey Fiena… how do I do this?? I don’t really get this poem from Shakespeare.”

“It’s easy….”

“Easy for you to say…. You always pay attention to Mr. Heracles… And when you guys are done… you both talk about cats. You should marry him.” Dorothy giggled.

“N-no way! He has eyes on Miss Sakura….. Remember?” Fiena shrieked, enraged and blushing.

“Oh, yea…. What about Mr. Arthur?”

“He’s going out with Miss Emily.”

“Bummer….. Mr. Ludwig!”

“Miss Felicia… that cute new attractive art teacher from Italy.”

“Damn… what about Mr. Ingi?”

“He’s move to Iceland“

“Mr. Lovino? Miss Felicia’s big brother??”

“Miss Isabella, our hot Spanish teacher…”

“Mr. Wang? That Chinese dude who looks like a lady...”

“Miss Anya, the scary Russian teacher.”

“Mr. Kaoru?? The teacher with the somehow cool emo hairstyle and has thick eye brow’s like your beloved Mr. Arthur.”

“Miss Xia Mei, the Taiwanese woman.”

“Wow… your really do love our teachers, huh?

“Yeah… so what??”

“Alright… alright...”

The next day, Fiena discovered something horribly new at her workplace.

Blood.

She was mopping the upstairs floors.

And there were traces of blood.

“What the hell is going on!!???”  She screamed.
