Chapter 8 - Humans

“for the love of  GOD, please shut up.”Fiena yawned.
Pissed, at her stupid alarm clock.
The masquerade last night made her sleepy and heavy in the head. (But she can keep the cool stuffs)
But, seeing the perfectly moonlight dew in a glass of water she placed on her night stand managed to make her smile.
Emil…
She felt that she had met him before, but where and how? And when?
As if she met him in a dream.
And his touch was familiar.
Fiena’s alarm went on again.
“Oh, shut it, will you bloody thing!?” she was pissed, took a pillow threw it the clock and let out her British accent.
Yup, she was a British in America.
Then her eyes widened when the clock read : 7.40a.m.
She’ll be late! School starts at 8.00!
“Argh! I’m screwed!” she said, massaging the temples of her forehead.
“Wait!” she suddenly snapped her fingers.
Magic was here in her hands, why worry.
She focused and in an instant and a snap on the fingers, her room was clean, and so was she, ready for school and she smelled like freshly picked morning flowers.
She quickly ran downstairs, wolfed her cereal, took her lunch and her dad sent her to school.
::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::
Fiena went into school doors, to her locker and grabbed the things she wanted but she felt as if something was terribly missing.
“Looking for me?” a voice whispered in her ear.
Emil!
“GYAH!” she cringed.
“”I scared you? Oh, I’m so sorry” said the boy, apologizing sweetly.
“It’s okay. What are you doing here?” Fiena asked.
“Your Highness wanted to see you so badly he had to register school.” Said Alyss, who appeared with Emerald.
“O.Migawd, Fiena! Your laying yourself on one of the hotties, save some for me!” said Miranda, the school’s biggest snobface.
As soon as she spotted Alyss, she went on “O. Migawd, your cute. Do you have a girlfriend?”
“well..” Alyss started but she interrupted. “yeah! Me now!”
“O.Migawd!” a voice imitated her. It was Alice.
“LAY YOUR DIRTY DELUDED RAT PAWS OF MY MAN OR YOU’LL REGRET IT.” Alice warned her.
Alyss laughed, smiled at her and kissed her softly saying , “ Calm down, love. You know I’ll be faithful to you, and you only.”
Crushed, Miranda stomped away furiously by the public rejection.
“Morning…..” Mia moaned, one of her arms around Bill and one of Bill’s arm around her, as if to look like he was helping her to walk.
“Woah….. what happened to you?” Fiena asked.
Zalia appeared and Tom’s arms around her, they look like a couple, and she laughed, explained her sister’s situation.
“She had to much chocolate and coke.”
“Ok! Plans for today, Bill, Mia and me show Emerald and Alyss around, fiena you show Emil around.”
“But….” Fiena began.
“Ooh, 2 minutes to Literature, bye!” Alice said, holding Alyss’s hand and Emerald followed them.
The bell rang and Bill helped Mia towards to English, followed by the rest.
“Fine………” she sighed.
“So, what’s first?” Emil smiled at her.
“My favourite: Gym.”
**********************
“I’m glad we’re swimming today, or else I’d be dried fish by now” Emil sighed as the Gym class were walking to the pool.
“Really?” Fiena laughed.
“Are you new to my class?’ Coach Ludwig asked Emil.
“Yes sir.” He saluted.
“Good. Now vhat you’ve chosen my class, show me what you can do.”
“I swim, sir.”
“Good. You will compete in a swim test with my best swimmers, Paul, Nick and Mark”
Emil changed into his swimming attire and he moistened himself with cold water.
He loved water.
He somehow hated how humans polluted it.
He sometimes swim to the great seas and find it polluted.
The others wished him luck and he smiled and nod.
Coach Ludwig said “Ready, Set, Go!” and blew his loud whistle.
And the four boys were off.
Paul was leading Nick, who was leading Mark.
But they were surprise to see Emil smiling at them by the end of the finish line.
Wow….he’s fast” Fiena thought and amazed.
Coach Ludwig smiled proudly.
“Congratulations. You are potential enough for my class and looks like you’re our new best swimmer and captain of the Swim Team.” He said, patting Emil’s back.
“I accept this offer and thank you sir” Emil said politely.
The class cheered except Paul, the captain of the swim team.
No, wait… its  ex-captain of the swim team.
He was mad with grief.
Why would Coach Ludwig replace him?
He wanted to drown that bastard, he thought.
That new show-off bastard who thinks he’s so good looking.
He got up, threw the towels aside and lunged towards Emil who was being congratulated by his older fangirls.
But Emil, as if knew what he was thinking, step aside and Paul can’t stop running and fell into the pool.
“Paul! You vere my vest swimmer and now you’re not. You bring shame to my face. ! If you can’t accept defeat then you are to be shown some. You are to run the 500 meters lap, 20 times.” Coach Ludwig ordered, as he saw that the boy was about to drown his new swimmer.
“Fine…” Paul groaned, getting out of the pool.
“In just your swimming trunks! You can change after you run! Run, NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!” Coach Ludwig gave a very loud command yell.
Paul, afraid of the big, muscled gym coach ran for his life.
*****************
At Literature, Alyss didn’t really enjoy attention from the female humans.
He sat next to Alice and his face was paler than ever.
The teacher told them to read but the rest of the class was noisy.
Mia was on her desk, face buried in hands.
She felt sick.
Something she ate at the masquerade poisoned her.
Or maybe she was just suffering from claustrophobia.
The whole noise was just adding and making her pain worse.
A really, really hard grunt of thunder and a flash of lightning might calm the class down.
And it did.
The humans suddenly stopped and began reading.
Mia smiled.
Humans.
They get scared so easily.
Pathetic.
She thought.
“Are you feeling any better?” asked Bill, feeling the temperature of her forehead.
“I’m fine.” Her face brighten up.
He was different, she felt.
He had something no other humans had.
She wasn’t sure what it was but she loved him and glad he loved her too.

Alice examined her boyfriend.
“are you feeling okay?”
“Not so much.”
“Yeah, your paler than before. Don’t tell me your gonna turn completely white after this.” Alice laughed softly but then realized it wasn’t a laughing matter.
“Did you, skip breakfast or something?”
“Had too.” He smiled weakly.
“Here, have some of mine. We have more at the café.” Said Alice, opening her bag, getting out a purple bottle, opening it and popping a straw in there.
She knew her boyfriend.
He had to take blood so he won’t be on “Blood Rampage”
“I love you.” He smiled and took a sip.
*****************
Mia didn’t understand humans.
She and Bill was walking towards art.
Where she saw at the lockers, a young couple were kissing passionately then a girl came and yelled “Ian! How could you!” Then they got in a fight.
Mia shook her head.
Thinking to herself, You stupid fools. You have your love why have an affair with someone else. Stupid un-faithful cretins.
“What’s wrong?” Bill asked her.
“It’s nothing. I was spacing out.” She smiled.
She opened the door to the Art room, greeted by Ms. Felicia.
Mia smiled at her.
She knew, that Ms. Felicia was actually a witch.
She knew, every teacher Fiena met, were Other Realm creatures.
***************
Back at the café, a human did something he would regret.
It was Thursday, the girls wore the Flower maid outfit and pervert dared himself to take a picture of Zalia’s arse.
He was a big fan of her, you see.
Mia saw that wrong act and came towards, questioned him “ Excuse me, young sir , what are you doing?”
“It’s nothing.” He said, quickly hiding his camera. “Hey, can I have your number and take a picture with you? Your hot and if the guys at my school thinks you’re my girlfriend, I’ll be so popular.” Said the human.
Mia sighed and advised him, “I’m afraid not. It’s against the café rules and regulations. And so is taking the pictures of our workers,  inappropriately.”
But that didn’t stop the bum.
“Oh, c’mon…. I know you want to take a picture with me…” he said, but now he began groping the witch by her waist.
“Kind sir, please stop.” Mia grunted. She still kept her patience because other customers are around.
“Hey! Listen to your master’s orders!” the human laughed since Mia can read his mind, he said : “Woah this girl is hot, she’s just as hot as any hookers are.”
That definitely crossed the line.
Not that the human had just compared her to a human, but a low and sleazy one at it.
She snatched his camera and crushed it with her bare hands.
Then her eyes starring sharply at the human.
Her face expression dreadfully serious.
“Leave. You are forever banned from here. Why your still here. Leave, NOW.”Mia warned him.
The young man was so scared he got up from his seat, and ran as fast as he could.
Mia bent down to clean the crushed camera pieces, took a wooden oak tea tray and took his leftover coffee.
She shook her head in federal disgust.
Stupid humans.
And this is why I despised you.”  She thought.

Lolita Latte - Street Masqurade carnival (Chapter 7 extra)

The street masquerade carnival was amazing.
It was just like a festival, and also, just like the ball, they wore masks but left they’re dress and changed to normal clothes.
It was the most fun experience Fiena ever had.
The streets were filled with performers, creatures, witches roaming about and they had to be careful when walking so they won’t step on the tiny little ones such as pixies and elves.
They were all ganged up in two;
Fazzy and Enyz
Gwen and Rita
Mia and Zalia
Alice and Syaira
Except Fiena.
She was alone.
“Don’t worry fiena, you can join us and we’ll be your tour since you never went here before!” Syaira smiled.
“No, Fiena will be with me.” Said Emil, who suddenly appeared, wearing a normal hood and jeans and his turquoise mask with blue dangling swirls.
“Okay then. We’ll leave you two lovebirds alone to enjoy.” Alice smirked.
*****
(Fazzy and Enyz)
Fazzy and Enyz were walking down the streets, loving the sights of the masquerade festival.
“Hey look! A fishing game!” Fazzy squealed pointing towards a stall where it held a fishing game and cool prizes to win.
“C’mon, let’s try.” Enyz said.
They ran towards the stall, where the old man who owns it, smiled towards them and said, “Two silver cents per game”
“Alright then.” Fazzy and Enyz nodded, paid for the game and they were given two bamboo sticks, with a red thread and little sugar lumps as bait.
“Now, young lassies, this fishes I caught were rare and real!” said the old man.
‘”But, it’s just an empty case of aquarium with water. No fish. Not even a little crab or prawn.” Fazzy said.
“Then, make the fishy appear.” Chuckled the old man.
Both the girls thought hard and pretty soon enough, the aquarium was full of rare and exotic marine life.
There were fish made of rubber, plastic and paper yet they were still swimming like real fishes. And the jellyfish was made of real jelly!  There were even mini sharks and piranhas.  And some fish made out of food such as sushi, fish fingers, and lots! But, there was also real fishes that actually exists.
It was a mind-magic game, where you imagine something unusual, then using your magical energy the very thing might appear.
It was like making an imaginary friend for children, except that this time, it appears and not like and imaginary friend, other people can see.
Enyz and Fazzy had fun fishing.
Fazzy caught a purple grape jelly fish, a tempura fish, sashimi, a fish stick and food related fish.
Enyz caught two angel fish, the real one and the one was her imagined one, it had cute chibi angel wings and was white all over.  She only caught two of those, because the thought of keeping a shark and piranha would be a bit weird.

**********
(Gwen and Rita)
Both these curly haired lassies were walking to the streets, chatting happily and eating the soft web candy they bought earlier.
Rita spotted a shooting game and both the girls ran for it.
To play the shooting game was to use a plastic  gun, but the bullets were your powers, you hold the gun, concentrate on your magical energy, aim and shoot.
Rita’s energy was lightning green and she aimed for a green bass guitar and she won it. She doesn’t know when, but she was deeply interested in the bass guitar after she heard a German boy played it in music class and now he was dating Rita.
Gwen’s fuzzy blue energy aimed at blue plush puppy and she won it.
Both the girls smiled and thanked the stall owner.
Then left, satisfied.
***********
(Mia and Zalia)
The twin sisters decided to stroll around the streets, wondering what to buy or do.
“Mia! Look!” Zalia said happily pointing towards a particular stall.
“Hn?” Mia turned towards the direction to discover a special Italian food stall.
“Ooh! Pasta!” Mia squealed.
Both of them went there, greeted by the Italian witch and her big brother, Felicia and Lovino.
“Ciao! What can I get you girls?” greeted the cheerful Italian.
“Two of your good old pasta!” Mia said, happily.
Zalia shakes her head in amusement at the sight of her fraternal older twin sister and her love of Italian food.
After the meal, they went back strolling.
They stopped at a cute little stall which sold parasols and umbrellas.
Zalia was attracted to a cute mini blue parasol by the corner of the stall.
She opened the parasol to get a better look of it, it was sky blue, in fact.
And something magical happened.
Blue tropical butterflies started flying around her, then towards the parasol, or more like into the parasol, as if it was the design pattern.
Zalia was fascinated.
“Interested?” asked a woman dressed in moe Lolita theme styled masquerade costume, just like Mia’s except hers was full of vibrant colours.
Zalia nodded.
“Then that will be 12 silver cents.” Said the woman, but before Zalia could even reach her wallet, Mia paid the witchlady.
“But, I…” Zalia started.
“It’s okay… My treat.” Smiled her sister.
Then, they were off for more treats and merchandise.
************************************
(Fiena and Emil)
They were walking, holding hands.
Had too, because Fiena was so enthusiastic about everything she saw.
And Emil had to hold her back if she was about to step on a flower sprite.
She was way too excited.
“Hey Emil, what’s that?” Fiena asked, pointing towards a particular stall.
“Huh? It’s a prize game. Want me to win you anything?” Emil said.
“Nah… I’m good. But let’s play that!”
“Step right in, folks! And what can I get you, little miss?” asked the owner of the game stall.
“Can I try?”
“Sure, that will be 2 silver cents.” Grinned the man, wide like the Cheschire Cat.
Emil paid for Fiena, he wanted too.
“So, how do I play?” Fiena asked.
“Y’mean y’don’t know!? This has been the oldest stall and everybody knows this game!” shrieked the old man.
“Urh….” Fiena forgot she was still human.
“She’s a witch from Germany, she transferred here, from the old city.” Emil quickly explained.
Ja!  Ich bin ein deutscher Hexe!“  Fiena nodded.
She was glad Mr. Ludwig thought her some useful German quotes.
“Okay then. You use your power elements, make them into the shape of a ball, throw it at the price you aim.” Explained the man.
“Alright. I’ll give my best.” Fiena said.
She focused on her elemental energy and formed something on the palm of her hands.
It was a ball of wind, with gushing petals of daisies.
She aimed and shoot the ball at a cute tuna fish plush toy.
“ Here” She giggled, giving Emil the toy she won.
“Thanks” he smiled.

They walked towards another aisle of streets where they sold flowers.
Fiena was amazed by a popping flower cracker.
Emil was happy to see her happy.
Her smile made him smile.
So, when she wasn’t seeing, he spotted a beautiful moonlight dew( a flower) specially for the girl, bought it and put in her hair.
“Emil, thanks!” she giggled, seeing the flower.
It was beautiful, looking almost like an orchid, but having dew in it, it was an attraction towards bugs. It was called moonlight dew for it officially glow in dark place and it attracts fireflies.
Absolutely beautiful.
***************************
(Alice and Syaira)
Soon, a crowd collected to one stand., where a tough guy was there, boasting about his strength and how he could lift a 50 tan of metal. And whoever lifted more than his, may get a bag full of gold coins worth 20 billion dollars.
Alice and Syaira scoffed at that idea.
Syaira knew, Alice had incredible strength even without muscles showing.
“We can live to yer’ challenge.” Said Alice.
“Then show it, you little miss” the man snickered.
He smiled sarcastically, knowing a girl like Alice can’t possibly lift 50 tan or, more…
He thought he was right, but he was……………… wrong.
She lifted it very easily.
Syaira clapped her hands in amusement.
The man was shocked, and he had to give the prize money.
“I love me some money” Alice said, laughing, bag of coins in hand.
“Of course you do. Now, what do you want to do with it? Keep it in the bank?” Syaira asked.
Alice thought for a moment and finally snapped her fingers and said “Well, before that, divide it, give some to my dearest pals, spend some, and keep it in the Tempest family safe.”
“No wonder you’re the richest vampire noble. You might be richer than the Highness himself.”
“No. My dear father is the King’s dearest favourite Prime Minister, the king is far more richer.” Alice explained.
Syaira nodded her head as a sign she understood.
“Hey look, let’s go eat some caramel apples and sugar bats! My treat!!” Alice exclaimed happily, spotting a candy stall.
“Yay!” Syaira squeaked.
Caramel apple was an old, yet well-known treat throughout the world.  The witches recipe were merely different from the humans.
They mixed the caramel with blood and that is why the Other Realm creatures love it so much.
Sugar bats were also well known treats. They are bats, stuffed with ice cream, and coated in thick sugar frost then put on an ice cream stick. Children loved these, especially. Even vampires eat them. Because, in reality, vampires can’t turn into a bat unless they were using a potion, bats were just they’re pets or food.
There, they bought sugar bats and caramel apples and met Zalia and Mia there.
The four girls stopped for a rest and Mia made a bench appear for them to seat and eat.
“What else did you guys buy?” Alice asked, licking the frost of the sugar bats as if she was eating a popsicle stick.
“I bought some pasta from Miss Felicia’s stand, a blue butterfly parasol for Zal, and this really cool chameleon hood jacket. Check it out.” Mia said, bringing out a black jacket, put it on and the colour changed from black to brown, the colour of the park bench they sat on.
“Cool, we should definitely go there next, I want one.” Alice said, her eyes gleaming.
“What else?”
“A Sakura kimono, changing nail polish, and rare Mexican chocolate flowers.” Zalia said, finishing the list.
“Chocolate flowers?” Syaira asked.
“Yeah. The shop owner told me it was a box of chocolates, shaped like flowers so I figured, why the hell not?” Mia grinned.
“So, what about you guys?” Mia asked Syaira and Alice.
“Alice won a pot of gold, yay!!” Syaira said happily.
“Pot of gold? You mean like a leprechaun?” Zalia asked, confused.
“Oops… I meant bag of gold!” Syaira giggled slightly and the others laughed
