The group of girls was walking at a beautiful flowery meadow, little people playing around. They looked happy except for two girls who were in the only ones in black; Alice and Mia.
Them both didn’t like bright places, especially Mia because they were creatures of the night, gleamed eyes used to the federal darkness. “Urgh…. I hate it every time we come here……. It’s too damn bright! What are you trying to do, blind me?” Mia said.
“No…. we’re just visiting Fazzy! Here” Rita said, making a black umbrella, appear and handing it to Mia. “Yes!” Mia said. Fiena thought, ‘What’s so great about a black umbrella?’ “This isn’t any umbrella, it’s a special one.” Mia said, opening it and both her and Alice stood under it.
It began to rain under the umbrella, thus making the aura around Mia and Alice cold and creepy. The bright creatures kept themselves away from these girls, scared probably.
They finally reached their destination, a sparkling hollow tree and lots of light in it. Mia wore extra dark sunglasses to prevent blindness. “Wh- what are you trying to do? Blind me? You guys are waayyy….. Too radiant!” Mia said, closing her eyes.
“Mia, open your eyes, how can you walk without bumping something if you can’t see anything?” Alice said, she was okay with the brightness but not too much. “I have my ways.” Mia grinned. “Amylea, just open your eyes.” Alice sighed. “D- don’t call me Amylea, damnit!” “Why? Is it your real name?” Fiena asked.
Even though she was embarrassed, she nodded. “Why? But it’s really a beautiful na-“ Fiena began but by the irritated expression Mia had on her face, she immediately stopped. “Guys! Come in! A little fairy said, from a hole of the tree.
“Oh Fazz, you look like a sparkling faerie Barbie….” Alice laughed. “Shut up!” Fazzy said and they turned them to exactly 11.5 inches tall. “Great…. I feel like one of those anime figurines…”Mia sighed. “What’s so wrong with being 11 inches tall?” Fazzy asked.
Mia shrugged. “Okay Fiena! This lesson will totally help you!” Fazzy said. “Faeries are a bit complicated, but with my help, I’ll think you’ll get a hang of it.” “We, the faeries… have our own elemental talents. As for me, I’m a heat and light faerie. I catch the rays of the Sun and I help shine the moon.”
“No. The moon shines because it reflects the light of the Sun.” Fiena explained with a scientific tone. “Jeez…. What I meant was, I help shine the moon, here. On the Other Realm, not on Earth.” Fazzy said.
“Sorry.” “Anyways, there are water faeries, snow faeries, flora faeries, fauna faeries, wind faeries and creator faeries. I am, a light faerie.” “Each season and natural phenomenon’s here occurs due to our magical powers. Light faeries bring out the Sun, snow faeries bring snow, flora faeries bring spring and fauna faeries help to teach the little creatures and animals here. While wind faeries posses the fastest speed in flying, creator faeries create. They’re just like architects and builders in your world”
“Oh, and I get it now. Oh, and BTW, you don’t need to tell me about all the other creatures because I just had studied about it before we came here.” Fiena said. “Good. Okay, I’ll tell you just about us faeries. We posses wings, which are like silvery trinkets and they feel like silk when you touch them. However, if we don’t keep our wings safely when we swim in the water, it might sink like giant diamonds.”
“Faeries can keep their wings using a spell, which is in Latin and it goes, ‘Haec mihi pennas conservare.’ Well, some water faeries don’t have wings so it’s convenient to them because the spell kinda requires a large amount of energy.”
“The source of our energy is dust.”
“Dust? So, care to go to my grandpa’s old attic?” Fiena asked.
“No, not that dust. Fairy dust. It’s gold, sparkling and its located at a lake here. It’s called ‘Golden Lake’ and its guarded by the blind yet wisest faerie, ‘Trinkletop’.”
And when the time Fazzy mentioned his name, the other girls laughed, including Fiena. “You may laugh, but his wise even though he can’t see. If a faerie wishes to steal more dust, he can report it to the FAERIE Council.”
“So, how can he sense if that person’s lying when he’s blind.”
“He just can. He can sniff your magic. Meaning, he can know how much amount you really need.”
“Is that possible??”
“Here, of course it is.”
“We faeries have the FAERIE Council. There are departments for that. Our queen, Claudia Petal rules the magical energy department. I’ll give you the book about this stuff cuz I don’t know how to explain it further more and I heard that you’re a fast learner.”
“So, what now??”
“We observe the elements faerie possesses.”
“A light faerie creates rainbows, brings the summer rays and shine. Also, we brighten up the sky with stars and the moon using collected sun rays. Water faeries creates waves, brings forth rain and such. Fauna fairies are like animal experts. They help nurture them and solve their problems.”
“Flora faeries are like gardeners. I mean, flower people. No, hippies with wings. It’s because they care so much about the nature and help to grow flowers and plants. They bring forth spring with some of our help.”
“Wind faeries are the creators of thunder besides than Mia. They also fly at high speed and create hurricanes and such. But, they’re kinda arrogant.”
“Why?” Fiena questioned Fazzy.
You want proof??? My sister is one.”
“Okay. Proceed please.”
“Yes, thanks. Snow faeries, like the name brings winter. Also like the name, are kind of cold but they’re cool. Creator faeries build. They’re creative and they can turn a paper clip into a key in just a flat second.”
“That’s so cool.”
“That’s what faeries do, babe.”
“One question. What about tooth fairies and fairy godmothers??”
“Excellent question. Those things, they are our sort of cousins. Y’know like a cat and a tiger, or a dog and a wolf. Fairy godmothers are quite human size by original while we faeries have to use a special spell to grow to your human size.”
“Tooth fairies, are well….. they steal teeth to children and make dentures to old people.”
“What!?” Fiena was shocked, disbelieved and quite scared hearing that.
“Kidding.” Fazzy smiled, sticking her tongue out.
“Tooth fairies disguise themselves as dentists in the human world. But, for some kids who don’t believe in tooth fairies anymore always go to the dentist and that makes their jobs so hard and they become dental doctors.”
“Interesting.”
“Also, that chant people use to say, is true. It can really kill a faeries’ soul because our true source of living is by believing and faith from the humans. We may not die here, in the Other Realm, but we die from the faded memories of a person.”
“The next generation of humans might think we are just myths and probably just a fake story. But we actually do. In the hearts of some people. Nowadays, humans lost faith in us, and that leads our magic weakening.”
“You mean the phrase, ‘I don’t believe in f-“ Fiena began but in a flat second Fazzy tackled her to the ground, causing quite a havoc and awkward scene.
“I told you not to say it! You want me to die???” Fazzy was enraged.
“I-I’m so sorry.”
“Nevermind. Do you still believe in us now?”
“I do.”
